The documents IRCC names, and how long each one stays valid

16 documents, each with IRCC’s own wording for when it applies. 3 of them have a validity period IRCC publishes — enter the date on yours and the page shows what that period works out to, with the rule quoted next to it.

This is not IRCC's checklist

The system gives you a personalized document checklist once you've completed the online form.

The list that counts is generated inside your IRCC account after you complete the online form, and it differs from applicant to applicant. Nobody outside that account can see it. Below is every document IRCC names on its public pages, with IRCC's own wording for when each one applies — so you can decide which are yours.

IRCC: “Most applicants will also need to upload”

IRCC: “only … if we included them in your personalized document checklist”

What this tracker does not do

  • · It never sees your documents. There is nothing to upload, and nothing is checked.
  • · It doesn’t decide which of these apply to you — IRCC’s condition is quoted, you apply it.
  • · It can't tell you your documents are complete. Only IRCC's personalized checklist can.
  • · Dates shown are IRCC’s published period added to a date you typed. Nothing here is a deadline we worked out for you.

These marks are saved in this browser only. Open this list from a matter in your workspace to attach them to that file and put the dates above on its timeline.
