What USCIS charges, and for what

USCIS publishes one fee schedule for every form it accepts, and it attaches a filing category to each amount — its own sentence describing when that amount applies. The 19 categories below are quoted from that schedule, unedited. Tick the ones that describe you and the page adds up those, and only those.

Read this first · There is no total price for a case here, and there cannot be one. USCIS prints the I-140 fee as “$715 plus additional fees, if applicable”; which additional fees apply depends on who is filing. Deciding that would be a judgement about your eligibility, which this page does not make.

How you file

USCIS publishes both, and they differ. Not every form can be filed online — where USCIS prints only one amount, that amount is used for both.

Form I-140 Immigrant Petition for Alien Workers

  • Additional Fees: 1. Asylum Program Fee

Form I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status

Form I-693 Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record

$0 across 0 categories

This is the sum of what you ticked, by mail. It is not what your case will cost: USCIS decides which categories apply to a filing, and this page does not.

Where these amounts come from

Every amount and every condition on this page was read out of Form G-1055, Fee Schedule, 05/29/26 edition — a 57-page PDF that USCIS republishes when fees change. Unlike a daily feed, it has no live version to poll, so the file itself is checked instead: we hold its exact fingerprint and a daily job tells us the moment USCIS replaces it. Nothing here is transcribed by hand.

Forms this page leaves out, and why

Two forms people often file alongside these are not here. Their fees live in appendices laid out differently from the main table, and reading them produced conditions that were cut mid-sentence — which would look authoritative and be wrong. Rather than publish a mixture of correct and broken official wording, both are omitted whole:

  • Form I-765 Application for Employment Authorization. 12 of its published categories did not read cleanly.
  • Form I-131 Application for Travel Documents, Parole Documents, and Arrival/Departure Records. 8 of its published categories did not read cleanly.
