1. Find an employer in Norway offering a technical position and obtain a formal job offer
2. The employer submits a job vacancy and recruitment proof to the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI)
3. The applicant completes the online application form (type: Skilled Worker Permit) and uploads required documents
4. Pay the application fee (specific amount as per latest official rates)
5. UDI reviews the application, may request additional information or an interview
6. If approved, the applicant obtains a residence card at the embassy/consulate and enters Norway
7. Upon arrival, register with the local police and collect the residence card
