Rwanda's Nomad Visa is a long-term residence permit designed for digital nomads, allowing holders to reside in Rwanda and work remotely. The visa aims to attract global remote workers and boost the local economy. The visa is typically valid for one year and can be renewed. Applicants must prove that their income comes from outside Rwanda and that they have stable remote work capabilities. Rwanda, as an emerging digital hub in Africa, offers good internet infrastructure and a pleasant climate, making it suitable for long-term stays by digital nomads. Visa holders can move freely within Rwanda but are not allowed to take local employment or engage in business activities that compete with local enterprises.
