The Skilled Migrant Category runs in two stages: you submit an expression of interest first, and are invited to apply before these documents are wanted. INZ's own wording for each group is quoted below — you decide which apply to you.

Why these dates are “supports a submission until”, not “expires on”
INZ words all three limits the same way: the document must be under a certain age when you submit your application. A police certificate does not stop existing on a date — it stops supporting a submission made after that date. The distinction matters if you are deciding whether to re-sit a test or re-request a certificate, so the dates here are labelled that way rather than as expiries.

“Medical evidence must be less than 3 months old when you submit your application.”
Police certificates
“Ensure police certificates are less than 6 months old (from the issue date) when you submit your application.”
Evidence you can speak and understand English
“English language test results cannot be more than 2 years old (from the issue date) when you submit your application. You cannot provide evidence of a future booking.”
Why there is no New Zealand fee estimate here
There is one for Canada and for the UK because both governments publish the individual amounts, so adding them up is arithmetic over official numbers. INZ publishes a single “from” figure for this visa plus an interactive calculator that quotes you a price — not a list of the components. An itemised estimate would therefore have to be assembled from numbers INZ does not publish, so we don’t build one. INZ’s own figure and calculator are on its page.
