What to do with this score

Your score is an estimate calculated from your answers with IRCC's published point grid. Compare it with recent draws, check the provincial streams to review, and read the guide for your program before you apply.

Points follow IRCC's Comprehensive Ranking System criteria. Job-offer points were removed on March 25, 2025 and are not counted. This is an estimate from your answers, not an official assessment. · Last checked October 11, 2026

Frequently asked questions

What is a good CRS score?
IRCC does not set a target score. It publishes the CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited in each round, and says cut-off scores may vary each round. Past rounds are listed on IRCC's rounds page.[2]
What is the maximum CRS score?
1,200. IRCC says every candidate gets a score out of 1,200 based on four parts: core human capital, spouse factors, skill transferability and additional points.[2]
Do job offers still give CRS points?
No. IRCC says that as of March 25, 2025 it removed job offer points (previously 200 for NOC Major Group 00 and 50 for other skilled occupations). Job offers that are part of a program's eligibility criteria are not affected.[1]
How often are Express Entry draws held?
IRCC says it invites top candidates in rounds of invitations about every 2 weeks.[6]
How many points does a provincial nomination add?
IRCC's CRS criteria list 600 additional points for a provincial or territorial nomination.[1]
How long does an Express Entry profile stay in the pool?
Up to 12 months. IRCC says a profile not invited within 12 months of submission expires automatically, and you can then create a new one.[5]
How long do I have to apply after an invitation?
IRCC says an invitation to apply is valid for 60 days only.[5]
What happens if two candidates have the same cut-off score?
IRCC uses the date and time each candidate submitted their Express Entry profile to set the cut-off between tied candidates.[3]
Do French language skills add points?
Yes. IRCC lists up to 50 additional points: 25 for NCLC 7 or higher in all four French skills with CLB 4 or lower in English (or no English test), and 50 for NCLC 7 or higher in French with CLB 5 or higher in all four English skills.[1]
What happens if I decline an invitation?
IRCC says you are put back into the pool and considered in future rounds if you still meet the requirements; declining does not affect whether you are invited later.[5]

How this calculator works

The calculator applies IRCC's published CRS point grid to your answers, in your browser. Language scores are converted to CLB levels with IRCC's equivalency charts. It cannot check your documents, and IRCC's own calculation in your Express Entry profile is the one that counts.
