Comment fonctionnent les tirages d’Entrée express
- A round of invitations is how IRCC invites candidates from the Express Entry pool to apply for permanent residence; it holds rounds throughout the year and chooses candidates based on CRS points.[3]
- For each round, IRCC chooses the round type, decides how many candidates to invite, and invites the highest-ranking candidates who are eligible for that round type.[3]
- Each round's instructions are posted online at the time of the round and include the date and time, the number of invitations, the round type, and the programs or category covered.[3]
- IRCC publishes the CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited in each round, and says cut-off scores may vary from round to round.[2]
- Tie-breaking rule: if more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.[3]
- Program-specific rounds invite top-ranking candidates who meet a specific Express Entry program; for example, a Provincial Nominee Program round invites only candidates who meet the PNP.[3]
- In category-based rounds, IRCC invites candidates who meet a category the Minister established to meet an identified economic goal, based on criteria such as official language ability, work experience in a specific occupation, or education. Candidates must still meet one of the three Express Entry programs.[4]
- IRCC's current categories are: French-language proficiency; healthcare and social services occupations; STEM occupations; trade occupations; education occupations; transport occupations; physicians with Canadian work experience; senior managers with Canadian work experience; researchers with Canadian work experience; and skilled military recruits.[4]
- Candidates who receive an invitation have 60 days to submit an application for permanent residence.[4]
- A profile that is not invited within 12 months of submission expires automatically and is removed from the system.[5]
Questions fréquentes
- How often are Express Entry draws held?
- IRCC says it invites top candidates in rounds of invitations about every 2 weeks.[6]
- How long does an Express Entry profile stay in the pool?
- Up to 12 months. IRCC says a profile not invited within 12 months of submission expires automatically, and you can then create a new one.[5]
- How long do I have to apply after an invitation?
- IRCC says an invitation to apply is valid for 60 days only.[5]
- What happens if two candidates have the same cut-off score?
- IRCC uses the date and time each candidate submitted their Express Entry profile to set the cut-off between tied candidates.[3]
- What happens if I decline an invitation?
- IRCC says you are put back into the pool and considered in future rounds if you still meet the requirements; declining does not affect whether you are invited later.[5]
