How long is a UK TB test certificate valid?

6 months, counted from the date of your x-ray.

The date it runs from is the part that catches people out: GOV.UK measures the six months from the x-ray, not from the day the certificate is issued or received. This is the only document on the Skilled Worker list for which GOV.UK publishes a validity period.

If your test shows that you do not have TB, you'll be given a certificate which is valid for 6 months from the date of your x-ray.

When this answer doesn’t apply

  • · Nothing else on the Skilled Worker document list carries a published validity period, including the English language evidence. Periods quoted for other countries' systems do not transfer.

These are limits of the answer, not a judgment about any reader’s situation. Working out which apply is yours to do.
